Pinteresting Playtime

The weather has been really crummy this week in North Dallas and that means outdoor playtime has been pretty limited and I've had to get creative with our indoor activities. Seriously, thank goodness for Pinterest and the super moms that come up with these fun sensory baths, home made baby safe finger paints and so much more. I would have never come up with this stuff on my own and we have had so much fun with these ideas, I'm so happy I stumbled upon them!

First up, the oodles of noodles bath. I bought three pool noodles from the Dollar Tree and sliced them with a butter knife. It's incredibly easy. Emerson's bath wasn't quite "oodles" but he enjoyed it none the less. I'm planning on buying a few more to really fill the tub next time. SO cute!

Look at that smile!

Our second Pinterest project was baby safe (aka edible) finger paint.

I used these directions from Dirt & Boogers and it worked wonderfully. I whipped it all up while Emerson was down for his 3:30 nap and we played with the paint for a good hour.

I really loved this activity and Emerson had so much fun.

I was so surprised how quickly he took to it and really got messy (which makes me really thankful he has his own bathroom)!

Emerson's usually pretty timid and shy about new things, but he really loved the finger painting.

I think my favorite part was how it all washed right down the drain and Emerson was cleaned off with an immediate bubble bath. It was also the perfect excuse to try out Ivory's 2 in 1 Hair & Body Wash sent to me by Influenster. I loved how it foamed up for the perfect bubble bath and it was so gentle on my munchkin's skin. The light scent is also really enjoyable. Couldn't have been an easier clean up!

Have you mama's come across any fabulous pin's that you think I should try with Emerson? I'm always up for something new, inexpensive and FUN!
