An Open Letter To The Tooth Fairy

Dear Tooth Fairy,
Labor day weekend is usually one of fun, sun and relaxation. Unfortunately it was anything BUT at our house. Emerson, at 5 months old has begun the painful process of teething. Let the exhaustion begin!

According to this diagram (surely created by your fellow tooth fairy friends), we should have one more month until baby teeth start rearing their ugly head. ALL LIES.

This teething business is breaking our hearts. Emerson is beyond upset and Mommy & Daddy are beyond exhaustion. Friday night we broke down and called the pediatricians after hours service.

They suggested gripe water and frozen bananas, as they too could not believe we were already in teething town. They said that both would work to relieve tummy or teething discomforts and we were willing to try anything at this point.

Luckily after days of sleepless nights, a half dozen frozen bananas and countless teaspoons of gripe water later...Emerson gave us a break. Last night our little prince slept through the night until 8:30am this morning and he woke up as his usually jolly little self. I have never been more grateful for a full nights sleep, than I was last night!!

Dearest tooth fairy, what do we have to do to get on your good side?
Completely desperate,
The Ring's

  1. OMG teething was terrible for us too! Gripe water was seriously my BEST friend... also.. take a look in the medicine area of your target or even the baby area... orajel makes some ALL NATURAL teething tablets now that are approved and those worked too for Channing.... I have also heard frozen waffles... let them chew on that... grossed me out though :)
