This week we celebrated Emerson's first Independence Day! Derek had the day off, so I decided to deck the whole house in Red, White & Blue and really enjoy our day together! Welcome to our little crew's fourth of July festivities!
The sidewalk was chalked, the flower bed had pinwheels tucked in and the front door was adorned with a cute glitter sign!
I hung patriotic bunting from the mantle and added some red, white & blue buckets with little votives inside to our everyday decor.
A special table setting for a special day!
Even the oven wasn't left untouched!
For breakfast we had Red, White & Blueberry Parfait topped with toasted oats.
After breakfast we headed to the pool for dip. Emerson did so well in his new float!
We were a little hesitant at first, but soon he started kicking and splashing about! It was a ton of fun!
Later in the afternoon it was time to head home for lunch!
For lunch we had pasta salad and beef franks with a much needed glass of white wine.
Emerson wore a new romper and looked like a proud American in his red, white & blue!
