Today we left for a weekend with family in Buffalo, NY. We are so excited for Emerson to meet the greater Ring family. It was a long journey with a few bumps a long the way, but we absolutely made some memories. This is my recount of a long day of traveling! Come fly with us!
The key to a successful flight with a itty bitty baby... organization! What your seeing here is all I took with me for the trip. The car seat is docked into the stroller, my duffle bag stowed below and my purse/diaper bag is hanging on the handle bars. Inside my duffle was Emerson's folding travel sleeper! Talk about packing light...
Here is the little guy prepared for take off!
The first of many adventures we'll have together!
Unfortunately as the airline would have it, our connection from Cleveland to Buffalo was cancelled! This left us ample time to spend in Cleveland, Ohio as we waited to be picked up by Nana & Chief. Glad I that that travel sleeper on hand for nap time!
Luckily, Emerson is such a trooper! He was so happy the entire time which was incredible as I was worried about potential meltdowns while traveling alone. I was so thankful he was all smiles!
We visited the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame shop where we picked up a souvenir. Now baby E can officially say he spent a day in Cleveland, Ohio! (silver lining??)
When Bob & Daphne arrived we were so happy to see them! We hopped in the car and took off towards Buffalo!
Once we made it to Mentor, Ohio we made a "pit stop" at Quaker STEAK and Lube for a wrap sandwich and glass of wine. After our day, we really needed a whole bottle!
Shortly after we crossed through Pennsylvania into New York, three states in one day! We were all beyond exhausted so EVERYONE decided to indulge in a "bottle", haha!
After some sweet snuggles, it was off to bed for our little crew. All this excitement and that was just getting there! Tomorrow, the reason we all came... the party!
