My Godmother Regina is a English teacher and avid reader, so when she told me that she wanted to host a "bring a book" baby shower to build Emerson's book collection I thought it was such a clever idea and was so excited that she'd do something so thoughtful for our son.
The Garner home is perfect for parties and Regina and Ashely (my Godsister) did a lovely job decorating for the occasion!
There were books everywhere in sweet little vignettes.
Books here, there and even in the chandelier!
There were two incredibly moist cakes...
and a candy bar for all!
Ashely even made me an adorable sash that read "don't open until..." so guest could guess my due date - so fun!
I received some lovely things for Mr. Emerson.
And of course, many...
many books!
This little library has been filled with wonderful stories that are meaningful for all. Many thanks to my Garner family for hosting such a whimsical and memorable shower!
