I'm Pregnant!

I would have never imagined that my entire life would change on Monday July 11th, 2011... but oh my goodness how it did! I had a "funny feeling" after coming home from work and decided I would take a test "just to see". I knew that after months of trying and countless negative tests that it wasn't likely, but I was hopeful! After a few minutes of pacing around the bathroom two little pink lines appeared seemingly out of nowhere. So I took another test. Again, two lines. I had to read over the test directions about 100 times just to be sure. 1 line = negative, 2 lines = positive. "THANK YOU GOD - WE DID IT!" was all I could think to myself as I continued to "happy dance" all around our apartment. Even though I knew that today's home test are highly accurate, it seemed too good to be true and I wanted to be absolutly sure before sharing my excitement with Derek. So I decided to wait until I could have my pregnancy confirmed by blood work in the morning before letting Derek in on my big news. Also, I wanted to make sure that I told him in a way that was memorable and special and that would take some time to plan out. That night I went to bed with a smile on my face the size of Texas. When Derek asked what I was so happy about I could have burst right then and spilled everything I was so thrilled. But I held it in and said "Oh nothing..." with a permanent grin and slipped into bed. Little did I know that I would be up all night excited about my little secret!
