Today we went out to Wintergreen Farms in Van Alstyne, Texas in search of our perfect Christmas tree!
Although we were in the Christmas spirit, it was blazing hot! We had to wear shades the sun was shining so brightly.
Derek ended up spotting the prettiest 7ft Virginia Pine and we immediately knew it was the "one"!
Derek cut it down with ease... got to love my lumberjack!
Doesn't the beard make him look official? Haha!
While waiting for our tree to make it's way up to the loading area, we took a little hay ride and let Emerson play.
He found his very own little "Charlie Brown" tree!
Emerson's first tree experience was a success despite the elevated temperatures. Looking forward to all of the Christmas "firsts" this year with our little man.
