Best Seat In The House

Emerson began exploring the sitting up position with his Bumbo seat (we wrote about it here) and after a month of practice he began attempting to sit up while being supported in other places. His favorite place is of course Daddy's "man chair" the best seat in the house! 

Emerson is such a jolly baby, he literally lights up the room with his giggles!

Now that he has began sitting this way, he has also started to play in the sitting position as well.

Pulling his feet to his mouth has become a new favorite past time!

What he enjoys most is looking out the window into the backyard. He actually seems to notice the birds and trees moving. He is very responsive and likes to "tell" Momma about all that he sees!

Yesterday before heading out for our daily walk I put on Emerson's first tennis shoes while he sat in Daddy's chair. He wasn't sure what to think of them at first... But after a few minutes of encouragement, he seemed not to mind them!

Lately we have spent a lot of time in learning to sit up and I think Emerson is really enjoying his new view of the world from this angle. I can't wait until he is able to sit on his own on the floor, I've got my camera ready and some cute picture ideas waiting for him!
